Lifting Equipment Inspection


JTN Technical Services will carry out Lifting Equipment LOLER Inspections to ensure that all organisation’s lifting equipment is compliant with current regulations.

Our LOLER Lifting Inspection services are being successfully utilised at many onshore facilities as well as Offshore Platforms, Barges, FPSO’s, etc. — both nationally and internationally.

As a member of LEEA, we ensure that our inspectors are constantly updated with changes to legislation.

What items require LOLER inspection?

A LOLER Inspection or thorough examination (LOLER Regulation 9), must be completed on all liftig equipment to comply with LOLER.

The LOLER definition of lifting equipment includes any equipment used at work for lifting or lowering loads, including attachments used for anchoring, fixing or supporting it.

The LOLER test regulations cover a wide range of equipment that includes:

  • Overhead Cranes
  • Runways & Hoists
  • Pedestal Cranes
  • Mobile Cranes
  • Truck and Crawler Cranes,
  • Cargo Carrying Equipment

The definition of equipment requiring inspection also includes accessories such as chains, slings, shackles eyebolts etc,
